Big bore kit in Warrior Anyone?

Have not done this...but it's next on my list. Four stroke techs have some nice kits for the warrior. they make a nice oil cooler that you will need to add if you increase the bore. if your gonna bore you're probably riding fairly aggresive and have noticed how the warrior doesn't shift as smoothly. the cooler will eliminate this...heat also robbs an engine of power.
Your stock clutch won't last long either...look too Hinson to solve that.

I talked to a guy at a shop who works on only yamaha and he told me that the big bore kits for a warrior were expensive and they needed some case mods to get them to work. if you want to spend the money for the big bore kit sell the warrior and buy a new raptor. but you could go with a new cam, valve springs and piston and it would wake up the warrior.

I have a 01 warrior and I just did a bore job on her.Went .04 over with 10.25:1 compression piston,WB .440 lift cam and springs.Night and day that's all I can say.I already had a T-4 pipe and K&N on her and I put a vented airbox lid on and rejetted.Worth every penny,I was always getting beat by aleast four quads lengths by my buddy's 400 ex in the 100 yard run,it's neck and neck now.As far as a Big bore kit I can't say I just know I'm happy I didn't spend that much money on one because I couldn't be happier with her than I am now and I didn't spend that much. Now I just need to start working on her suspenion.

Thanks, I will definitly check that site.
As far as a Raptor, my husband has one and it is great, but not so much for me. I feel like I am riding a horse. I'm only 5' 4" and about a buck thirty. It also has a tendency to throw me around like a rag doll.
He almost bought me a Banshee this last weekend but someone beat us to it. But for the most part, I feel pretty good on my Warrior. This is actually my second one.
I do ride hard, (Have to if I want to be invited) that is why I needs some more power, we plan on doing it within the next few months, so starting the research now.
Thanks Again for the advice.

i went with just a new cam piston/gaskets,clutch and springs for under $450 but if you want a bore kit alba powroll and 4stroketech makes them. the 400 alba is in the july issue of atv action. if you dont have it i will tell you it loses alot on the bottom end like 3hp early on then around 2hp at 4000rpms so that kit is only a top end kit. the max hp is 30 at 7000rpms and even at 9000rpms it has 26hp. the 4st has 500cc kit that gives you 50hp and powrolls 430 gives a 80% hp increase which equals 32hp on my calculater(sp). the 3 i just listed are these companies biggest kits and all run over $1200 the 500 is $2000
