One thing here- If somebody here owns a grizz and comes on the forum ragging it for problems they have had, there is no reason to run them off. That information can always be valuable to somebody who is looking to buy a new quad. I've had good luck with my 660. Thats not to say that others have not. Same with any brand of bike.

Its pretty sad to gang up on one guy cause he's raggin on a bike that he owns. My standpoint is that if you own it, you are free to rag on it.

I remember a guy that had a lemon Sp500 a few years ago, and everyone in the Polaris forum hated him, because he kept saying how crappy of a bike it was. Shoot, the guy had spent enough money fixing that thing that he should be able to say whatever he wanted.

I never understood why some people get all tore up over somebody talking bad about the particular brand of quad they own. If you want to talk bad about my quad, more power to ya brother. But that doesn't mean I will pay you any mind. The way some people act you would think they were major stock holders in these quad companies or these manufacures were signing there pay checks.

If you are having problems with what ever brand of quad you own let us know. "Knowledge is power" Your problem may be the problem I'm having, then maybe we can find a fix for it. I just bought a new Grizz a couple of weeks ago and also fear the vapor lock issue. I mean come on you spend all that money of a new machine and you want it to run right,If it's truly yamaha's problem then they should step up to the plate and take care of it. But if it's something I'm doing wrong then it's on me...no broblem.

I just have to ask Yamaha ,Polars or who ever the company is that age old question...."What have you done for me lately"...I'm the one forking over the cash, not them.

Sorry I didn't mean to sound like I was running Mar off. I simply thought that comparing the Quest and Grizz is a bit like comparing an apple to an orange. Really I couldn't care the less what a person rides... Really. Knowledge is power and we should all share information. So once again I'm sorry if I came across as an a$$ it wasn't my intention.

TG1...I never took it like you were trying to run him off. You were just giving your opinion. Good enough for me.

PaulStanley
Thanks for clearing things up. I'd just hate to get the reputation of being a jacka$$. I got to admit I suffer from Grizz envy. Hopefully Cat/Suzuki get it in gear and put a 650 V in a bike with a front locker. Until then I have to either day dream or spend some money.

Thanks Jonathan,I am busy and spending no time in here.
I have no intention to slander Yamaha.I am just posting MY OWN experiences.I don't really care what people think about my posts and would never argue.
I have tons of problem with my quad,I am affraid I lost confidence in this product, but I would buy it again,as I stated a couple of times.I had to have it ASAP and don't even like the color, I paid full MSRP and I KNEW ,that I might Have a problems with it. I hope I don,t bitch about it too much. Again, I believe this is the best quad/IRS/ on the market. I wish Japanese manufacturer would address the problems and the next year Grizz. will be flawless performer.I also realize, that I ride it in VERY NASTY enviroment,no ordinary casual trail riding. We rode with Frogman a some time ago /and hopefully this weekend again/and we got stuck/winch/ like 5 times in first few hundreds yards.....some people claim they never get stuck???????....

I've had a few troubles with my grizz, none are "large" IMO, the worst offence is a design brainiac-fart that makes the outboard front CV boots exposed. Downtime/dealertime is not an option in my use and torn CV boots take an hour of my time to replace.

Mainly plastic trouble, the bogus plastic A arm gaurds broke off during light duty break in use(replaced with ricochet metal slid plate/gaurds 285$-somehow the OEM plastic guards on my rancher have survived worse treatment for a few thousand miles.) I've also collected a new floorboard under warranty(143$) I've cracked my front fender where is meets the flooboard again a brainfart issue, the edge practically grabs tree's when squeezing through tight spots.

On the CV boot issue the front brake caliper is positioned such that the brake line interferes with the A arm guard, making it an open area.

It has some issues with dying while stuck.

It doesn't fly through the air as well as I'd like from jumps.

Finaly Yes I'm happy with it, there's is potential for it to be better with just minor tweeks from the factory would make big differences IMO( I think to fix all of the above would cost Yami less than 100k in retooling/refinements and still cost about the same), but it's a great package.
