I work for a manufacturer, so maybe this is just my gripes
1. People who have no concept of automobiles, quads, and technology, and seriously believe every dealer is out the get them.
By their logic, a dealer will make more money screwing them, forcing their customers to never come back again for any of their parts or service needs, and knowing that the customer is going to tell everybody they know so they won't come to the dealer either. Sure I've met my share of idiots at dealers, but not everyone there was, and i treat people individually. Suprise! there are scum, good folks, retards, samaritans, idiots, helpers, losers in every group. Believe or not, most people did not wake up this morning thinking "hey who can I screw or make their life miserable?" Most people are just trying to survive.
2. People who call manufacturers to ask if they can modify their car/quad or whatever. This same customer is going to complain when the part they modify or put on fails, and blame it on poor worksmanship of the manufacturer, and complain because it wasn't covered under warranty.
3. People who ask manufacturers to pay for repairs performed at a competitor. How stupid are these people? If I buy something from walmart I sure the hell don't ask k-mart to pay for it if it breaks! Why should anyone be forced to help someone who is buying from a competitor?
4. People that don't take care of their stuff and complain when it breaks.
5. People that believe everything they read on the internet, even without any proof
6. People who classify every off-roader and duner as alcoholic, law breaking scum of the earth, who would rather cause problems than care for fellow man.
I am here today to say I am an off-roader/duner, I don't get into fights at glamis, I stop to help those who have breakdowns in the dunes, I've been pulled out of mudholes by people who I didn't even know at no charge, I pay lots of taxes and have a respetable job to pay for the expensive toys, and try to do the right thing most the the time. Me and the other 10,000 people who show up to have a good time don't appreciate you losers who act like A$$es, and give the rest of us decent types a bad reputation. I know sex violence and law breaking is news, but just once I'd like to see them head out with a hidden camera and watch how many people stop to offer assistance to those with broken machines or film other acts of kindness.
Let me end this long list by stating some instances I've been helped.
free air when I had a flat
free gas when I was lost and ran out
free tow, back to camp with seized engine and broken filter housing
free parts for loan, got me back to camp
offers of water when i ran low
loan of quad to ride when mine was in the shop
free rides to riding area
and the list goes on and on

i dont fear the cinders at all..i have nothing against bad @$$ 100 dollar hill or widowmaker..its just not sand..and i love the sand...its all good biggin. oh biggin where do you go to get some sand in south carolina??
