Hey Bat whats up?
CPI pipes are made in morgan UT and are the best pipes out there for the polaris RMK's the pipes plain rock. I would think that the quality would transfer to the banshee pipes.
KT is right down the road from my house and I too have heard real good things about them. There are a lot of KT engines running around UT and from what I have seen they rip.
We are headed up the St. Anthonys the weekend of the 17 of aug. I will be there from thurs the 15 to the 18 if you are interested you are more than welcome to join us and try that new banshee out in the sand. I got a 44 mm lectron carb for the DS and the strong arms are on the way so I will be like a pig in S$%T getting to ride it for the first time that weekend!!! WYO will be there and about 5-7 of my other riding buddies. I still have a spot reserved statring friday that some one had to cancel on so if you want it let me know. It is going to be a fun weekend of riding.

DSA, I wish I could make it, I have two other trips the two weeks after that, and cant take any more time off if I want to keep my job.
Anyway, it sounds like a blast. I hate when work gets in the way of riding. Maybe I need to own a shop, so I can play with the machines all day and then ride on the weekends.
Have a good time

Bat, congrats on your Banshee... I'm jealous - I really like the '03 LE colors a LOT.
If you plan on getting ported definately get the CPI pipes. Everything I read is that they really shine on ported motors. On the Paddles, the extreme haulers are no doubt the bes tires out there. I am not a fan of the V paddles at all and the places you ride I would think the extra hook from the straights will be an advantage. If you are trying to keep aftermarket bills lower you can go with some Cheng Shin straight paddles like I have which work Ok but don't bite quite as well as haulers.
I would get 22" paddles and gear down to a 13 tooth sprocket in the front but that is still a little high - it's the set-up I have now and it's a little too high. I don't want to put a 12 tooth sprocket because of wear issues on the chain roller (which will be a slider soon after you put the 13 tooth on since it will wear pretty quick after that). A 21' paddle will probably give you gearing that's just right but you lose a little ground clearance which is good to have in the deep soft sand. After you get ported the gearing formula will change anyway.
For me the order of mods would be:
K&N filter with outer wear and Pro Design flange (flange optional but good to have)
Mod the airbox - put some 1" holes on lid and take off snorkel.
rais e the compression - mill the head or cool heads or similar - 19cc or even 18cc domes would be safe down to about 5000 feet on pump gas.
CPI Pipes
Jet to about 260 on the mains.
Straight paddles and optionally some front sand tires.
13 tooth front sprocket
optionally better reeds and +4 degree timing key
After that it's all high-end mods like porting, welded/trued crank, etc.
