I am looking for a new quad. I currently have a 2000 Kodiak. Great bike but I want to go bigger faster and the differential lock sounds good. I am leaning towards the Grizz or the Prairie. I use them 60 percent work on a small tree farm, 30 percent for fun (riding hills and mud in Indiana and Kentucky) and 10 percent for hunting. I really don't need a new quad but I haven't had a good argument with the wife for a while. I have friends that have the Grizz and the Prairie both seem good. I am hesitant about the IRS when I have a heavy wagon to pull but they are nice for the long all day ride and the traction. Also the Grizz saved weight by sacrificing rack and bumper diameters making them weaker. The only dislikes I've read about the Prairie are the stock tires and suspension. It seems to have one helluva powerful smooth motor. I have had several Hondas in the past. Great bikes but the review on the Rincon doesn't sound that great. Thanks for the help.

CV~

All the quads you listed are good quads. Try to go ride all three and decide at that point which one you feel would suit you best. Everyone has different priorities, and all the quads have their niche. Personally, for me, it was the Grizzly that scratched my itch.

Test drive all of them but drive the prairie last, you'll see why.

The grizzly seems to have a more "work capable" belt than the prarie if you poke into the Kawasaki forum. It doesn't appear they have a long life expectancy, and that's usually from sport riding. In actual heavy towing and such the belt engagement type clutch on pol/kaw ect can burn spots into a belt in a hurry on a sticky takeoff.

If you want the best....Get the Grizzly 660.
If you want to keep the mechanic's pockets full.....get the Polaris
If you want to get pulled out of every mudhole, and have to avoid all ruts.....get the Prarie
If you are 80 and want to crawl along on the trails.....get the Honda.

Go for the Grizzly 660 and don't look back.....
