Update on my bogging Warrior
#1
Thanks everyone who replied to my posts. Just wanted to give an update. Also, for all of you men out there, when your wives/girlfriends suggest something LISTEN. It might save you a lot of time and money!
Quick reminder, I had the Warrior that was cutting out at 3/4 to full throttle. My husband had changed to an White Bros pipe and rejetted, etc. last year. He rode until Jan. and then it became mine. I rode it for 6 months before it started cutting out. Anyway, posted on this site and asked lots of ?'s to techs. Always a different answer. We rejetted, (F@#$%^& Yamaha gave us the wrong jets so that just made things worse.) cleaned checked everything, took it in the stupid mechanic spent 4 hours on it, and told us it was running lean, so rejetted again. A friend of my husbands who is a major Banshee gear head offered to look at it (his ego was soaring cause he knew he could fix it! THANK GOD for egos) Finally after 2 days of going over everything, electrical etc. he rejetted it again, 147.5. Fixed it. He said there were a couple of other things going on, like the carberator had a lot of build up in the bowl, so he scraped it out, and some screen was not sitting right because the jet was the wrong one.
He also said the thing screams now, and we will be surprised at the amount of power it has. Coming from a guy who has 3 Banshees and a Blaster, that are modified to the hilt, that is pretty amazing! So I guess I am already for Labor Day.
Anyway, the moral of the story is, The very first person I talked to, told me to rejet it to 147.5, and we did not do that because could not understand why it would all of a sudden start doing it when it had been running fine. Go figure
Thanks Again
