I've heard of diff oil leak from vent hose but it usually happens during winter season when the oil is thick and it foams up. It may be overfilled or change the oil. Good news is that if it leaks, that means it has oil in it.

Rerouting the hose maybe the way to go. The hoses are always routed high in case you decide to use the quad as a submarine. Good luck.
