Swy,
I cant decide +1 or +2 swing arm. I already have +1 forward arms.

People have told me its not as easy to trail ride or slide in the sand with anything over +1.

Fact or Fiction?

I have a slightly built Rap & the front end comes up WAY too easy.

Whay ya think?

I went with the +2" extension, of my stock swingarm! The Quad Shop in Louisville extended it for me, as well as Swy's!

I think it is the "perfect balance" for a trail riding Raptor. If you ride all, or mostly sand, you may want to look into a +3". If you like to wheelie when you want to, like I do, you won't want to go over +2". Just my opinion on that. I am VERY happy with my swingarm! Here is a pic of the extension: Swingarm

74LV, the further back the swingarm is extended, the easier it is to sling the a$$ end around due to more wheel spin and less traction. Trail riding is not hampered at all with the +2" - after all, the wheel base is only 2 inches longer (in your case, would be 3 in all). This still isn't as long as the quad itself (rear plastic and grab bar), so the bike isn't any bigger/longer in the trails. It handles just as well in the woods as it ever did. I think Swy will agree!

Thanks Toid, Like I said a few people have told me that but I was leaning towards a +2 anyway. I love to loft the front end at will but it suck to have to sit on the tank through the whoops and 1/2 way up the hill.

Thanks again for the help.

Definitely go +2!!!!
Going more then +2 and wanting to trail ride, the front end will tend to push in the turns.
Drag race only, you will need more then +2.

I have yet to actually see a set of aftermarket a-arms for the Rap that are really +1 forward. All of the ones I have seen are +1/2 forward. There might be some out there, but I have not seen them, nor has a distributor I am freinds with either. Don't worry about the 1/2 or 1" forward thing, go +2 swingarm.

If you have a +1 foward on the A-arms and you go w/ the +1 axle you will be back at the stock weight distrubition so sliding should not be a problem. Also check w/ other raptor riders on the rear width, I found on my race quads that going to wide rear made the front push, I usualy tried to keep the rear close to the front or -1. Again that will not be the same for every frame. I would go w/ ZPS shocks to drop the CG of you bike though it makes a world of difference.
