I have a 89 warrior when i let off the clutch sometimes it cuts out and back fires but when i hold in on the clutch it runs fine what could the problem be?

It sounds like your parking brake is too loose. You will have to readjust the tension so that the assembly doesn’t shift around on you. What your seeing is when your parking brake is on, the engine runs restricted, (low rpm revs, etc... ), when the brake is off, it comes back to life.

The parking brake switch is kinda weak in design so it happens every now and then.
