Yamaha YFZ250 Quad - Yamaha's Two Stroke Racer
I know you all just gulped and scrambled to see what this thread was all about. No, Yammy-wammy ain't makin' a new two stroke racer...sorry.
Actually, I have heard and read little bits here and there about a supposed racing quad that Yamaha made awhile back. Some I have read about were converted Tri-Z 250 trikes but I think they actually made one more recently that was an actually YZ250-derived racing quad.
Does anyone have any information or pictures of these machines? I would love to find out more about them to satisfy my curiosity.
Thanks for your time.

Back in the 80's Yamaha never competed in the two stoke 250cc market. A couple of magazines put together Tri-Z's equipped with either Astro or 3x4 conversions kits to make their own Yamaha quad. I can't see Yamaha investing any money in a new two stroke 250cc quad when the market will ban them in 2006.

I know Yammy never made a production "Quad-Z 250", but I would like to see some pictures of those old conversion jobs as well as this newer one (linked above) if possible.
