I wouldn't suggest plugging a side wall hole. The plugs don't hold well due to the spungy sidewalls.

P.S. How in the heck did she take out both tires?

I patched a stock 400EX front tire and it has worked perfectly for a very long time. Slime works ok for the the tread area so far....

We patched a friends 2002 400ex sidewall hole this past weekend and it held the entire 38 mile trip.

I have plugged many sidewall punctures when I was running Blackwaters

Plugs will last a very long time. I've known guys that have ridden with plugs in their sidewalls for over 2 years. I'd say they're reliable, and alot cheaper than a new tire!!

I have plugged sidewalls and they have lasted as long as the tire.

I never thought about using super glue. Good idea.

I might get one to throw in the emergency bag with the other tire patch items.

I thought I was the only one that did stuff like that. I torn an intake boot one Friday night and super glued it back together to go riding the next day. It held up fine. That is one thing I thought I would never tell.
