Getting ready for the trip out and just looking to check the valves, what clearance are you guys using for you 686 with the webcam 696/697 cam , thanks alot

valve adjustment itself?

If your talking valave adj, simple... Cold....... intake .10-.15mm (.0039-.0059 in)
EX .15-.20mm (.0059-.0079 in)

 

Get yourself a real stubby 10mm opened end wrench for the exhaust valves.............nuckle busters!!

The clearance the book says, seems to have the valves a little loose. Me and my buddies just did ours, and set them at .08 intake and .12 exhaust

Valve lash should be set at .004 intake and .006 exhaust. Don't forget to do the Cam break in!!!!!
