You guys ROCK! I totally appreciate the info all of you have given. I'm gonna wait before changing the reed system, I figure the B-1 setup will puts some big grins on my face, so the next change will be tires/rims. For tight, sometimes rocky, rooty, eastern woods riding, should I get the 6-ply tires or will the 4-ply hold up? I know any tire/wheel change will be better than stock, but I don't want to buy the wrong setup.

ya i aggree with rap 8 take the cover off it just didn't seem to run right or responds as good with it on.

 

dave... hey fmf makes good pipes too, i see lots of them...just the toomey is the rage....
for wheels and tires, i can only tell you what i have done.
holeshot [what'd i get?] XCR i think, 20", on itp 190 wheels. rockin. no clown shoes on the back. those stockers make the thing unstable... same with raptor, put xct on that,,,,stable!
XCR is a nice wide woods tire, you'll like it, and it reasonably priced. got to 14t sprocket front, like $8 at rmATV. WE too have roots, woods, lots of sharp; volcanic rock as well, and have NO complaints about holeshots on either rig. very happy.
softened up the rear shock a bit with the xcrs on it. they're stiff, but they grip!
i left the stockers on the front for now....dont have any sterring probs and no flats, so good enuf.
....and if you have electric windows in yer GMC or chev pu and the motor dies.........PAY someone to do it!!!! LOL it took ALL AFTERNOON! but now i know the secret!! see ya.. paul.
