Going back from Alcohol, to gas

Going back from Alcohol, to gas
I changed the ole bird back today, due to the cold weather and it being very difficult to get running on the alcohol.(should this be a problem?)
Anyway, now I am wondering if it was a prob with the alcohol, because even on gas, it doesn't seem to want to idle correctly, sometimes sputtering a bit, and then stalling. Before I switched back to gas, it was way to fat(falling hard on it's face at anything above a little over1/2 or 1/3 throttle. Now it won't idle correctly, I have tried adjusting the air/fuel screws, airbox lid, no lid, all to no avail.

Going back from Alcohol, to gas
You know guys, a while back it did move the carbs back. Did not blow them completely off the boots, but damn near. It was running fine then the next day I tried to start it up then problems began, after taking time to look it over closely, I noticed the carbs out of place somewhat. I will have to take the intake boots off and inspect them very closely I guess. I did take the carbs off and completely and thoroughly go through them, and the vaccum boots are in a-1 shape, no cracks of tears there. Well I must state that this is (if it is ) the first major problem with the ole bird....So thanks for all the input.
If this doesn't work, I will then check the valves again(will do that anyway), and then hopefully last check the timing chain..........
