airraptor thanks for the concern. No I don't have any motor work but that is perfect, trust me I have had one of the poorly tuned Raptors you spoke of before. I tried to compare my jetting with everyone else's and nobody is close that I have found, but I do run an odd set-up.

 

I have a problem maybe someone can help me with.I have an" 01", I had k&n jet put in.then it started blowing black smoke at an idle.when you run it ,it smooths out .I droped the needs one ring.now it loads up at an idle and dies on any kind of hill ( up and down)or sideways on a hill.like the float is sticking or does it sound like it loading up.I checked the box and they put the jets for this elavation.

 

Rapdaddy, did you actually lower the clip on the needles, or raise the "e" clip on the needles?
Kinda sounds to me like it's loading up a bit maybe. Is it possible to have bumped the floats when you were in there?
