When I switched my Dakota from a sports truck to a enclosed trailer hauler I switched from 60 series Comp T/A's to 6 ply Bridgestones.
You are gonna have all kinds of "squirm" with those tires & it could rip them apart.
Remember the comercial that says "Power is nothing without control"?
You need tough truck tires not low profile sporty tires. JMO

Even after you put the programmer on it to correct speedometer for different size tires, a tire and rim package is going to effec performance. how significant it will is debatable. We put 20's on a new charged lightning and it definitely pulls the motor down a bit. Even on my Jimmy and just putting 17's on it I can tell a difference in how it accelerates and pulls things. Granted it's just a V6 but regardless performance will be effected. Plenty of performanc emods out there though that you can gain the losses back. The biggest killer is just rotating mass, same as if you were to put some big ole 24" atv mud tires on your blaster. 20's look really sweet and the tires are a little cheaper that way for your new Denali.

and warriorman you will also need to get your speedo re-calibrated for those wheels

Dont quit your day job just yet, even tho I am sure McDonalds wont miss a valuable employee like you....Maybe before you go any further with being a "mechanic" you should actually learn something about cars.

Dont wanna sound mean or anything here, but as long as they keep making 4 stroke, piston powered motors, they are all history so I dont care to know their history. There I go back on my soap box again though. And no im not a greenie. I am a hp fanatic, and as a hp fanatic I hate waste. The whole piston engine idea is one big **** waste. Kinda like walking 2 steps forward then 1 back all the way across town, why not just take 3 forward and none back? Stupid pistons. Anywho were way off topic. Just get the Denali, install twin turbos/forged pistons and forget them darn wheels.
