Need to know what kind of piston should i run, and i would like some numbers that would be good to run with my bike and the mods i have in my sig>>thanks

 

Do you want to run pump gas or race gas? JE for the brand you just need to know what compression ratio.

The more compression the less reliable you will be. There isn't really a problem until you get like 12.5/1 then the head gasket becomes an issue, or has for some people. The more compression the more power. The more compression you have the hogher octane gas you need to run.

well i see alot of JE 11:1 ratio, is that a compression ratio ,and would i have to run race fuel...Also is that all i would need with the hotcam ,springs and what else..Thanks

I have been running 11-2-1 piston without any reliability problems...a even mix of pump gas and VP red keep detonation away and ohhh boy does it scoot...

Are you under the impression that you need a piston to use the cam? Also what cam? If it is a stage one you don't NEED springs.

Has anyone tried the 13/1 piston? I wonder about the rod life. I might go with the 12/1 JE to be safe.
