Banshee clutch Tech?

The banshee we drag race with has started edging forward when you are at the stage line with the clutch pulled in.
I took mine apart. It has the stock
basket with I think a Trinity plate and disk and spring set up. when the
handle is applied, you can see that one side doesnt come out as far as the
other, then I checked the basket for play and it has very little EXCEPT for
when you grab the starter gear and hold the basket and twist it back and
forth like you are taking a lid off. Then,it has a good 1/4 inch of play when
comparing the rotation of the two before the other moves. Not in and out play
but rotational play. A good 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Is that normal? I wonder if the
aluminum is worn where the rivets are or do they have slop from the factory?
Ive never had a Banshee or done that type of twist test with another basket.
It probably wouldnt hurt to go ahead with a Hinson basket though and new
clutch set up while Im there. The play is back and froth when you twist it.
Slop I guess. No front to back though. What do you think? Has anyone else tried this or seen this?
Thanks

thats normal.
you can adjust the pressure plate so you get more pull. they also make a clutch lever that is adjustable and the handle and not just the cable.
it is made to keep you from rolling.
alot of times the little steel ball behind the clutch welds to the rod that pushs the pressure plate. my friend makes a needle bearing that replaces that.
if you need one PM me.
