to go to silver lake in MI, to even get in, this is what you have to do concerning sound:
45 degree angle that is 20 inches from the pipe.
96 or above is illegal, but they might let you pass if it is not obnoxiously loud
80cc at 6000 rpm's
125cc at 5000 rpm's
250cc at 4500 rpm's and so forth
how lame is that? and thats only the decibal test!

Yes, the law in Michigan reads that 94 dB is the legal limit for ATV use on public land. Most Rangers will let you go up to (but not including) 100dB. I got a $75 ticket for being at 100 dB at Bull Gap last year on Memorial Day weekend. I have a Yosh pipe. From what I hear they are more strict about the 94 dB limit at Silver Lake dunes, especially on holiday weekends. I even heard a story about a stock Raptor being turned away for being to loud? Is it just an "Urban Legend"? Let's hope so.

the funny thing is, every time ive been to bull gap there hasnt been any DNR or any conservation officer up there. good for us. knock on wood. if i were to go up there right now, and a dnr officer was up there i would have a very very big fine for noise
