my friend runs shredders and they work pretty damn good

I would reccommend Shredders. They are super cheap and very aggressive. I love them for hard pack. They rip the crap out of everything and are 6 ply. Before I had stock tires, and the only way they were better was the fact that they expanded and worked well in sand, and the 1 inch increase in ground clearance (20 inch vs 22 inch).

sand and hard pack and i already run razors but dont want anything heavyer than 4 ply

On hard pack, I was amazed too see Shredders make a Banshee hook up. The difference between 4 and 6 ply Shredders is .5 pound. They don't slide real well though.

 

Ohtsu 501's , We use them for drag racing on hard packed and sand and dirt. Still a awesome tire and lightweight.

 

i have heard that raptor and 400ex tire are really good but they are really expensive
