What sand tires are best for my 2000 Blaster. I am headed to my first dune experience.

I would get some Skat-Trak Gliders, 6 paddle on a 20x10x8 tire. Any bigger or more paddles, will kill your power.

What do you ride? Do you have experience with blasters? What about pipes for sand?

definatley go with the skat trak 6 paddle gliders.I have a few friends with blasters, and the guy with the skats kicks everyones butt. My brother put a boyesen reed valve, and a fmf pipe on his blaster(using stock silencer though)and his blaster ran like a new machine... good luck!!

I wouldn't worry about adding Paddles to your Blaster for your first trip. Go this time and have fun. The Blaster will get around fine as is for this trip. My daughter has a box stock one and has no problem getting around at Oceano Dunes (Pismo). If you want to try out paddles while your there, you can rent them for a day @ one of the local rental businesses (Arnes or BJ's Atv Rentals). If you rent them, see if you can get the angled type paddles, IE Sand Skate I's or Sand Skate II's. This type of paddle turns & slides better than the straight paddle type.

P.S. Here's a site you can check on for info, IE Tides, weather Etc.

If youve got the money, get the paddles... It will make a total difference in how your machine runs in the sand. Personally, I would not waste my time in the sand without them...
