Interesting thread I'm having the same dilema. I really want PEP zps shocks for my 400ex but if the wait is forever what difference does it make if they are the best zps style shock on the market if I don't have them on bike and I'm waiting for them and still riding the stockers. I was wondering about Elka. Some people say they are the best but most of the die hard racers say they are very good but not up to the level of PEP or Axis. I don't know anything about TCS. I'm just wondering if a non-racer like myself would be able to tell a huge difference between a PEP zps or and Elka zps style shock or if it takes a real racer pushing them to their limits to really tell.

tcs is making a good name for themselves, but that is through dirtwheels
and they make everything sound good.. i ride more dunes than track so im
more interested in rear shock since having a longer swingarm kills it and
just glides over the surface....zps the way to go for dune riding?

GO with elkas before they increase the price. These are choosen by 90 of GNCC riders. choice is easy hands down, great service, great product, PM and I'll tell ya the cheapest place on the planet to buy them.

I know a few people who had PEP conversions done and they are very happy. I'm sure it would be a big improvement.

Tim Farr uses zps shocks and there are whoops in mx and he is the man. At the very least I would think the lowered ride hieght from zps would greatly improve handling/cornering ability. I also heard (I don't know personally) that zps bikes don't wheelie as easily and get a much better take off.

While I haven't tried my Elkas out yet (Haven't got the +2 a arms yet) All the reasearch I did said that Elkas may not be the absolute best shock but they are the best for the $$$$.
Unless your a Pro rider you'd probably never tell the diffrence between Elkas & the super high $$$ shocks. LMO

That strange that you havent put your shocks on already. My buddy has a raptor with standard width. I have one widened to +3.
We both bought full suspension from Elka. There was no difference in front suspension. Elka told him that he can install them now before he widens the bike.
