I don't know how it would work on the raptor since the two intake holes are actually different sized. I would think that there would have to be some way to put less fuel into one side than the other.... Hell i just droped a chunk of change in the Kehin carbs so I guess my decision is made, but if any one gets this one carb thing working post it because I would love to see it, and hear how it works!

I read an article or found info on the internet about the single carb for the Raptor. I thought there was a dyno plot also. If I find it, I will post the link.
Anyway, the new carb created a better bottom and mid, but the top end seemed to suffer. I believe it didn't flow enough air and fuel needed at the top end.
Also, I didn't think it was as big as the carb for the DS which is one thing that turned me off.

how much bartlett. I am also concerned cause the 2 carbs have to fdlow more than that 1 42 mm carb. Just dont see how it could improve power. If it works though i would deffinately by one. I like the big air filter mounted right to the carb. Raptorman did u install the kehin carbs yet? If so how are they? Would like to get some one day just want the most performance.

Rudy,
I haven't received the carbs yet. I just ordered them off Trinity along with their 727kit. They received the engine Monday so I'm not sure how long it will be before I can get it back together. I do know that for their cost the had better be GOOD!

You get more torque with a single carb, why do you think they put a single carb on the Griz? Need more torque with those work machines. You get slower revs, less throttle response, and less top end with the single carbs too, but on the Griz those stats don't matter much and you prolly wont notice.

Now the Rappy doesn't biuld power in the HIGH RPM range, and I don't see why a 45mm like I use on my DS wouldn't be more than enough carb for the rappy's up to 60hp. The DS motor biulds H.P. alot higher in the RPM range then Rappy's do and they don't need to go to Dual carbs till around 60-65h.p.
Why would a single carb cause a topend h.p. loss for a slightly modified Raptor?? When is works fine for the DS.
