V-max 600 snowmobile
#1
Now I know this is an atv post and i'm an atv freak too but I know boys gotta have toys and there is some snowmobilers here too so maybe someone can answer my question. I have a 1994 yamaha v-max 600 snowmobile and I want to know the top speed on it, my speedometer says 120 and I saw the tach go past 100 but it was so rough I never looked back down at it after another 500 feet of open throttle. The guy I bought it off said he had it cookin' 110 and it could easily do 118 but i'm not sure. does anyone out there know???

How do you know an SRX only does 115? The SRX is a triple so the extra weight makes it a little easier to keep up. I've ridden with an SRX on the trails and it kept a good 30 feet in front of me in the straights, we kinda raced around and it still kept it's good distance. But the SRX is a triple and is the fastest sled yamaha has released, I considered trading mine but the snow doesn't stay much here and I don't make it up north too often. You have also forgotten I said mine is piped and clutched and possibly modified in other ways that I don't know about.

i just got off of my 99 600 v max. april snow is slow 70 is about all it want's to do but on the lake when they have radar run's i can touch 100. all i run is stud's a slight clutch mod. and a new belt for each event.unless i pipe it i'll never get over the 100 mark. im sure some one will disagree with this the only way to no for sure is to go to the lake and line them up.
