just wondering what is the best thing to use to clean out your oil filter or is it just best to spend 8 bucks and get a new one.. or is it just as good to rinse it out like everyone says... and what to use to clean it.. i hear gas and carb/choke cleaner or what else everyone use?? thanks ive always used gas and then air dry it with the compresser.

you might want to look into getting a K&N filter or Uni filter.....either one will let the machine breathe better and give you better throttle response.....cleaning K&N filter is very simple clean with a degreaser type of substance, let it dry completely and then spray down with filter oil. Just a thought

Filter oil is what you put on an air filter to trap the fine particals. It is a nessesity. Some good 10w-40 will work or better yet some Foam Filter oil... not the spray crap.
I use Simple green, hot water, and good soap, after i dip it in kerosine.
