Best A-Arms for stock shocks?
#1
Hoping to buy some A-Arms soon and I need some help. I want to use my stock shocks (for now) and I like to trail ride and jump. Should I get +2 or +3? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

+2...ive got LSR +3 and they are to wide for the trails. hell if trail riding is all you do go with wheel spacers...you'll save $$$ for your shocks.
However i would not recommend spacers on the rear with the stock axle. in fact, i don't recommend the stock axle period.
sorry judt re-read your post...if your jumping disregard the spacers.

docdave22 - I haven't measured how much wider, but I have reversed the front rims on mine for now until I get a set of a-arms and it makes a big difference. If you ride narrow trails you may want to reconsider it though. You will notice the difference when conering! It does soften up the suspension a little, but not drastically.
Depending on the type of riding you do is the determining factor. I am going to go with +3" because I prefer riding the track over trails. I would only go +2" a-arms for trailriding though....just my opinion.

Well, I ride at the track also, but I didn't list that type riding because the only part about the track that I really enjoy is the jumping. Not real concerned with cornering, times, racing and such, but that would be nice also.

Pro Comps from alba I have them on my rappy, they are awesome will work great with stock shocks, but would reccomend better front shocks if jumping to big they are just a little bit too plush for my taste of course I weigh 210#

Yeah, that is one reason that shocks aren't really a priority for me right now. I weigh only 135lbs thanks to diabetes. I guess that is one benefit. lol

Unless you weigh 120lbs or less do not put those stock boingers on +2 arms. You will likely kill yourself unless all you use it for is drag racing. You will have bad body roll and they will bottom so often your shocks will last less than a month before blowing out. I know it is expensive but you should purchase economy aftermarket shocks to go with any extended a arms that you buy. The shocks need to be sprung and valved to the new width and your weight/riding style. You will be much happier with the performance.
