Raptor clutch problem
#1
Wondering if anyone could help tell me what to look for.
I was riding with my friend who has a Raptor. We stopped to take a break. When he started up again, he put the Raptor in gear, let out the clutch, and nothing happened, no forward motion. When he would shift from neutral to first, you could see the chain tighten up a bit (so something is happening), but let out the clutch and nothing.
Has anyone had this problem? Should we look at the clutch or the tranny?
He has a K&N + jetting, and a CT Pipe, but no other engine mods.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

probably fried it cause it was misadjusted. its easy to do even when its perfectly adjusted..get a curtis sparks or GYT-R HD Clutch..if you want to not have to adjust it..get a hydraulic clutch..magura or billetanium..easier pull and no adjustments (i have the magura myself..about 170$)

Thanks for the responses.
I don't know if it was slipping. He didn't mention anything was wrong during the ride.
The quad is a year old, and the clutch has never been adjusted.
So, from what you guys are saying, we should check the clutch first and not the tranny.
We'll give it a shot and let you know.

Thats weird. You'd think that when you put it into gear it would go forward if the clutch were not working. It sounds like the clutch is disengaging while pulled in but not engaging when you let out the lever. Strange indeed.
