Default To port or not to port?

I have a 2003 Banshee LE that needs some mods done to it.Right now the bike is completly stock.I'm getting CPI pipes for it in the next couple of weeks. My question is,should i have it ported now or wait awhile or not port it at all.How risky is it to have a Banshee ported? Why dont you get those pipes and etc installed and see how it runs after that. If it still doesnt have the power you want then try porting.

Porting is not all the same, there are many levels and different shops have different ideas of what to do.

I am going to be getting some port work done, not sure by who yet. I have talked with Dan at patriot racing, they have a website, not sure exactly what the address is, but search and you can find it.

He has been helpful to me. I am sure there are shops closer to your area that can do great work, but I dont know who.

Bansheees cry to be ported. I had mine for 3 hours and pulled it apart did everything to it and have had no regrets. It is major important on who does it. Glen at Wicked Atomic in Corona CA did mine, Important that you don't get drag race porting if you trail ride. Same kinda thing is important on all mods, for example some pipes give different types of power etc.
