Raptor 80 Lights
#1
Does anyone here know where you can get some lights that can be fit into a Raptor 80. I talked to a guy that said he had done this for his daughters, but I can't remember the specifics. There is already a wire for the tail light, you just have to get the light and hook it up.
Thanks

I'd be interested to know as well. We have an 01 Badger and would be interested in this. This wire you speak of for a tail light, where about is it located? TIA
PS, sorry to make you look only to find another inquiring mind.

These are cheap and real bright. I got a pair for my 300ex and now I got a pair for the Z400. Click Here

Hey Wsh,
On the '03 raptor its right under the seat zip stripped to the frame. You can see it plainly without taking the seat off.
I believe it is only for the tail light though. No brake light.

What I used for a tail light on an LT80 was a boat trailer red side marker light, got it from Walmart for a couple of bucks, it has 2 mounting tabs built in, looks very nice and is plenty bright for a little light. For a headlight, find a small, low wattage light, 35 watts or smaller, to limit battery drain, as the mini quads don't have a lot of juice to spare.

Thanks.
I wonder if they did the same for the Badger, I mean, it's the same freakin quad after all. . I'll have to go out and check it out.

It's been a couple of years, but I went thru this with my kid's badger. I dont remember the the stator output, but it wasn't enough to power most lights. I used a small L.E.D. marker light for a taillight (from local NAPA store) because they use very little current. I think 20 watts was all I had to work with for headlights without it discharging. I figured I'd better use something halogen to get the most output & ended up using a set of those micro fog lights & replacing the bulbs. I found 2 10w mr11 bulbs @ some x-mas light store, but decided that 1 20w bulb (found @ Home Depot) seemed to give more light. Hope this helps.
