Default Which size sand tire

I am debating which size hauler to get for my new banshee. I am going to be building it up to probably about the 70hp range. I am thinking about 22x11x8, but how many paddles? I was thinking 9 paddle, but maybe 10 would be better?

What are your thoughts?

The build will probably be done in about a month or two, depending on how things all work out, it will be a 4mm stroker, long rod, with a good dune port job on it.

Anyway, thanks for any input on this.

Oh, I have 20x10x10 9 paddle extremes on my other banshee, and they work well, but I was wanting to try a 22.

Okay, thanks for all the help guys.......... .................lol

I am going to order some 22x11x8, but not sure how many paddles. Some guys say go with 8 paddles, some say to go with 10. I dont want to over paddle it.

Any suggestions???

Thanks

The 80 is working out great, if we ever get to ride it. It has been really cold here.

Dang weather never cooperates. My son loves it, but he has only ridden it once so far.

I think it will work out nicely.

Skat trak did not send me any info on the exciter paddles, the email sounded as if it were written by someone who did not even speak english.....lol

I may just get some gliders for it.

A lot of the guys over at planet sand said to run an 8 paddle for the banshee. I think alot of them race a lot. It sounds like it will let the engine rev out better then a 10. I dont know, I think I am getting lost thinking about it.

Thats how I felt to when I got my last set. You don't want to over paddle, BUT you SURELY don't want to under paddle. I think at least 9 but I would probably do ten on a 22" tire, especialy with a +6 arm. Just my opinon and I am not a Banshee guy so.......

Bat, I know I said 8 paddles when we talked but if you're going to get extended swingarm and a lot more power then 9 or 10 would probably be a better bet. For the regular piped/filtered/bolt-on Banshee I think 8 paddles is good but more power = more paddles.
