My friend is going to get a 426 in the near future and he thinks that the 426 is faster than the 450[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]?! Is this true....

 

When the 400 came out I read an article about Yamahas race bikes and they put together a couple different sizes and the biggest one was not the one of choice.I don't remember the CCs but I think they were around 430 and 440+.

 

the 450 should be faster they shaved some weight off of it and also added some displacement

 

i think its all about the 426

 

I think the 450 is only a 4 speed. Two of my ridin' buddies have them and the 450 is lighter and faster but the gearing is way different. He always says he wishes he could get the WR tanny for it cause he likes the power and feel of the 450 but hates the gearing.

 

a 450 is alot faster than a 426,some of the 426 have problem with the tps wich it cost about $160. and alots of spark plugs.plus the 450 have the automatic compression system,the 426 have a manual.
