Default blaster oil leak

my friend just bought a used blaster. so, of course we were racing. shortly after we got done i noticed a drop of oil hit the ground.it looked to be comeing out of the head pipe or the head gasket on the front of the motor. well he tried to start it and nothing. we push started it with mine and it started but smoked very badfor a bit. it is very hard to start now so i'm wondering if anyone would have any insight?he is not online so i figure i would try to help a fellow atver. thank you for your help.

First off, you must narrow down the options. Blasters are aways notorious for ozzing oil out of the coupler to the pipe. ID it is comming out of the HEAD gasket you will need to replace the crank bearing seals, as tranny fluid is comming on it to the combustion chamber.

He may have lost the rings or piston because he did not inspect the machine. Also if it has an oil pump it may be to thin of oil goin in to the carb and making the mixture more like 16:1. OR if he must mix the gas the oil may have dropped to the bottom of the tank.

An obvious check would be the spark plug. replace it. this is always culprutes to 2-strokes. Happy blaster riding!

Sounds like the 2 stroke mix is too rich. make sure he is not pre-mixing if the oil injection isnt blocked off.

Honest mistake if he just got it.
