I'm planning on porting my stock reed cages putting on reed spacers and putting boyeson power reeds in. I figure i'll do this instead of wasting money on a ram valve. The rad valve might be worth it but for no i just think i'll replace the reeds and port the stock cage. Do you think this would be beneficial. Would it make a difference

I'M NOT REAL SURE ABOUT PORTING THE CAGE ITSELF. I WILL TELL YOU THAT I JUST INSTALLED THE MOTO TASINNARI REED CAGES/VALVES ON MY BANSHEE, AND IT MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE!!! I HAD BOYESEN REEDS ON THE STOCK CAGE, AND I STILL NOTICED A BIG DIFFERENCE. I HIGHLY RECOMMENT THE TASSINARI CAGE!!!

Hey Travsbanshee, would like to hear more on the new reeds? Did you need to re-jet. I'm still using stock reeds in mine. Did the new reeds affect the entire rpm range or just the top end? Where did you get them and how much were they? Thanks for the info! Liked your web site too.

Well, i will be dropping down on my jetting this weekend. i will be going to a 250 from a 280 main.. I was running a little on the rich side to begin with, that is why the jump down is so drastic. The throttle is MUCH more responsive, but the main increase is in the mid to top end. The article I read claimed that a ported banshee with toomey t5 pipes would go from 39hp to 46hp with an increase of rpm's from 6500 to 9250 +or-. My friend has a stock Banshee with a boyesen rad valve, and the one thing you notice is the rpm's.
I really noticed a differnce with these reeds!!! I bought them through ALBA for 260 bucks, but I am now seeing them advertised in Dirtwheels for $219 from some retailers.. Let me know what you do, or if you have any more questions... Thanks for checking my page out... I will be adding more soon!!!!

I had the boyessen's and just switched to the Delta V's also. I haven't run them yet but am looking forward to it. I also have 280's right now with the graydon pipes and coolhead with 19cc domes. I have heard alot of great things about the Tassinari's. I bought mine from Magic's for $230 so, go figure. I hear they rock!!!

I have a stock bike with FMF pipes. I'm thinking about some reeds but don't what to make to many modifications.

Whats your suggestion for just a replacement set of reeds on the stock cages? Are the boysen's on your buddies bike good enough?

The boyesens ar good, you don't have to modify the intake manifolds with them. On the tasinnari reed cage you have to cut the flanges off of the intake manifolds. My buddies bike runs alot better with the new reed cage, but the tasinnari reed cage has twice the reed space.
