Default timberwolf & moto 4

does anyone know if the timberwolf and moto 4 motors were the same? the twolf is like a 225 and i heard so is the old moto 4's. i also heard that the old moto 4's had manual clutches on them? can anyone verify this? and if its true do you think it is possible to take a moto 4 manual clutch and and get all the right parts, crankcase, clutch basket, clutch, cable, etc. and put it onto a timberwolf and ditch the auto clutch? ive heard of ppl doing this before but i have not found any info on it? thanks,

Greg

I had an 89 moto 4. I believe it was the last year for them and mine was a 200 with a auto clutch. If i remember right they did make a 225 a few years back but i am not sure.I dont think they ever had a manual clutch.

I had both the 200 and 225 Moto4's. They did not have manual clutches.

i have a 1991 moto4 250 it does not have manual a clutch.
Moto4 205, t-wolf and bear tracker are almost the same thing. With each name change came a cheeper price. (They droped the low range, speed guage, ect.)

well, i have heard of manual clutch conversion kits for it but ive only read about it a couple times and that was along time ago and really never thought of switching it over then and now i would like too, does anyone know where i could get the conversion, know of the right parts to do it, or even heard of it being done to a timberwolf? thanks

this weekend ill give the yamaha dealer a call down south from me that deals more w/ racing and see what they say or if they have heard of it.

LotusPosition,
you say you drilled the clutch weights, what does that exactly help do besides makes your clutch engage at a lower rpm?

if anyone knows anything else, leme know plz. thanks,

Greg
