got my craycraft back
#23
Mark - thanks for letting me know about that 12:1 dust collector. I hate to see that. Unfortunately, I am looking for 11:1 because well first it is my wife's quad and she doesn't need race gas and second I have a Weekend Warrior with a pump station and I am setting everything to run on pump gas so I don't have to haul anything else around.
Sounds like Bob Craycraft is putting together a nice package. How much would it add to go with the nice connecting Rod when the 686 was done?

Dune me- Bob has JE pistons in all flavors ready to ship. I saw them all yesterday. A carrilo rod is about 200, the crank pin about a 100 and the labor about a 100 also. Most likely by the time everything is shipped back and forth i would say 450 dollars. I believe that adding a carrillo rod will cost you 4 or 5 hp. Those rods are so heavy. I am adding a 11-1 stock bore to my 01 raptor with a stage 1 cam only. That combo that samcoeds has will kick booty for little $$$. I would bet money that samcoed with be every Trinity 686 out there. I think the difference between a 11-1 and 12-1 piston to be around 2hp from dyno runs that i have seen.

so how much exatcly are you going to do to that 01 raptor 14 mins that you blew up at FSW??
since you say its going to be for the corporate rappys does that mean its going to be faster than your 686 raptor your running now??

LOL, I am waiting to see how rcr's turns out before i decide. My headwork will be radically different from what i have now. I have only seen one worthy 727 so far out of all those i have seen. Craycraycraft stock bores can outrun most 686 that they come across. Most likely it will be a stock bore or 686. I hope to stay stock bore and be stronger than my 686 with different head work.
