Default ATVing in Europe?

The information I have is second hand but reliable, we had some guests from Germany at the Lodge who spent a couple of weeks snowmobiling. One of them owns a 700 Sportsman and he said as much as he enjoys being out on his ATV the areas that you are permitted to ride a very limited. There are some trails through the forests but permits are required prior to riding and the overall areas are quite small, also insurance is required and very expensive.

Hope this info. was of help.
Buteman.

Pcsing sucked ,ETSing was great. You'll love it in Ramstein AFB. I was in the Army stationed in Kaiseslaughtern(HOST CTIY) from99-01. But I made my way onto the AB for extra curricular activities. Awesome facilities. Great city.Plenty of castles.Plenty of clubs.
I was did not take an interest in atving until I ETSed. Germany has an awesome inter&intracity city network of bicycle trails.I never saw an atv on them. The only time a saw an atv in action was when the Forest Miester(Game warden) was out checking the hog population at Rhine Ordinance Barracks,a small Army post 5km from RAB.They were always on my mind when we were doing PT at O'dark Hundred. You will be plesantly suprised at the car insurance there. I was able to get full covereage for a 97 540i cheaper than I get liability here for a 88 Z-71. They are not as tort happy I guess and that keeps rates reasonable

There is a house of ill repute right on B-40 that is the main entrance to RAB,Jollys. Our 1st SGT saw my car there and inquired in a 1st SGT what we were doing there????Later
