look at their hp specs for their new blaster pipe. How much can you believe somone who says a blaster will make the same hp as a 400ex with just their pipe? Besides, a stock one doesnt have 20, more like 16. Maybe it will hit 20 with their pipe on it. What did they do test it on a bike with porting and a bigger carb? Dyno sheet

 

first of all they didn't test rear wheels its the crank of coarse a stock blaster isn't going to have 20hp stock at the wheels but at the crank it could be possible maby i'm not sure. But i do know my toomey pipe woke it up a lot. And for comparing it to a 400 you would be suprised. When i was racing i could keep up to a 400 ex if i worked my butt off and they were piped. On the staights he was a little bit faster but when i was ahead of him he couldn't pass me. On the last couple laps i had a awesome battle with another 400ex and i ended up passing him at the end. yes it has to do with the ridre and i was bagging my machine (pinned not good for it but hey its racing). if you have talked to them at all toomey is a great guy. so maby the dyno isn't totaly true but i wouldn't be suprised if it wasn't that far off (at the crank). just thought id through my 2cents in but everyone has a opinion. i'm not claiming that that is the correct hp i'm just saying it does give you a big bost in power...jmo lata

You have to consider though, if you did happen to have the same amount of hp as a 400ex, you would tear it a new one because your machine weighs so much less. Anyone know the ratio or % for crank/rear wheels difference on a four wheeler? as for the average?

 

You gotta hand it to Toomey, They have the best selling pipe around. I got the T5s and I love 'em. Then Toomey decides they need to outdo themselves in a game that they are already dominating. Its like bidding against yourself on eBay. You are already the highest bidder but just for sh#ts and giggles, you bid higher. Why? Cause you can. Toomey rules and thanks to everyone who reads my rambling.

 

Never said their pipes were bad, im just tired of seeing misleading dyno sheets. Some little kid is going to be getting a toomey for christmas and expecting 25 or 26 hp... when hes really only going to have 19 or so. That may not seem like much, but thats like saying these pipes will give your car 250 hp, when they really only get 190.
