wolverine is smoking!!!

Default wolverine is smoking!!!

when i hold the throttle wide open or 3/4 in any gear even for 10ft then let off it smokes it seems to do this more when the engine get warm. can someone tell me what could be wrong???

2003 wolverine stock for now

Take it back and let the dealer figure it out, sounds serious.

How did you break it in? Did you run it hard or did you take it easy for the first few hours?

i drove it really easy for the first 4 or 5 hours then got where i would run in 5th gear about 1/4 throttle and i never opened it up to after two tanks of gas. i changed motor oil in it so could it be the oil i am running i am running castrol gtx sae20w 50. so should i swith over to yamalube or whatever it is and see if it stops it??

ya it didnt smoke at all then unless it was really cold outside

I dont think it will really matter what kind of oil is in it. Did you check the oil level? Maybe you put to much oil in. I am not sure though

I run Castrol GTX 10w-40 in my warrior and it is fine, and also in our wolverine. I would use all of the above suggestion from above. Since it is a new quad i would take it to your dealer of purchase and tell them to check the head.
