Porting & Polishing of you cylinder is a serious decision. Once material has been taken out or the wrong angles cut in, you are stuck with it. Proven reliability should be your #1 concern and then how good does it perform. In order to make all of these things work in your favor, you should be working with someone who knows & understands your specific engine. At Trenga Racing, we have a proven track record of building winning MotoCross, TT, Cross-Country, Hare Scramble and just plain fun recreational Blaster motors. WE KNOW what to do. We suggest you send us your cylinder when it is in need of being bored for a new piston and rings. We bath the cyl. to get all the crud out then perform a center-line boring. This assures that the bore is at the center of the cyl. not the sleeve, as well as make the crank move up & down straighter. After boring, the cyl. is honed and cross-hatched (to get the oil up into the cyl for better break in). We then Port & Polish the motor in one of ( 5 ) different configurations, depending on your type of riding. We cut, in thousandths, the top of the cyl and the bottom of the head so they match. As you can see in the picture, we polish the inside of the head for better combustion and the exhaust port to scavenge out the exhaust as quickly as possible.

be careful of where you have engine work done, check around and call the companies before you send money or parts. also look at sparks and a few others.

if you get the smaller 20" tires, you will probably need a gearing change too. it makes the most sense to change the front sprocket first, and then fine tune with the rear. Oil injection bypass is a possibility too, but thats a preference thing.

on a thought, nerfs and some different shocks could be an idea as well.
