Default Picking out a helmet

A removable liner is always a plus. Go to a dealer and try on the same brand of helmet before you buy on internet because I have 2 helmets and one is a med and other is large both fit the same, just dif brands.

Default Picking out a helmet

Maybe someone here can answer this about helmets

I prefer the full face street type helmet with a face shield. This is the type I had when dirt track racing and what I currently wear while riding the Raptor. It has peel off tabs so I could easily put on a few peel offs and keep a clean viewing area. The problem is I feel like a *geek* when everyone else has Off-Road helmets and goggles. Is there a reason other than looks for the 2 different types of helmets. The reason I like the full face street is it does not let debris hit my face and I do not have the problem with goggles moving around. If I need air my helmet has a multi position shield so I can crack it a little. I also have scalp and chin vents.

Your comments please.

*I tried to use "D O R K" but the system would not let me*

Whatever you are most confortable with is what you should use. Who cares what everyone else uses as long as you are happy. I tried to use d@#k the other day and it would not let me either, go figure.

Default Picking out a helmet

Hey,

my head measures like 22.25", which for most brands seems to be a medium. so i stopped my the local yamaha dealer today to try on some helmets there. they carry fulmer helmets. but for those helmets, i couldn't get my head into a medium, the large fit better. anybody know if fulmer helmets just run smaller than others?

i found this helmet on DK. DOT, Snell 2000, removable liner, $60. any comments?

thanks,
bigmac

PS: i need the 4 bolts that hold the rear brake rotor on. anybody know if i can buy these cheaply at the dealer, or if not, what i should get from a hardware store?
