Just polish it, only costs like $10 and a few hours labor.

its actually my cover. and yes you can polish them but it alot more than a few hours of labor. its about a all day job sanding the paint off. then after every ride to the dunes you have to repolish it.

use paint stripper, takes away tons of hours of labor! Mine look great and you dont gotta polish them after every ride, they keep their luster for a good amount of time.

chrome wipes clean, doesn't have to be polished.

i have tried to use paint thinner and everything else to get the black off of the covers. what kind did you use?

i now use a sand blaster but you still have to sand it down to get a good finish weather it be chrome or polished.

and i have to re polish my cyclinders after a weekend of riding. if i want them to stay looking new.

Does anyone need any exhuast coated? helps preformance and looks good.

I used Kleen-Strip Premium Stripper that I picked up at Bi-Mart.
