Leave it stock unless you need to go more than 75 miles per hour, otherwise go down 1-2 teeth in the rear.

Leave it stock unless you ride lots of tight, twisty, knarly trails. Then go down to a 12t in the front.

do you have to take off the shifter linkage to get the sprocket cover off? I have my raptor totlly apart right now and am putting a lot of parts on it, anyway the guy who had this before me put on a 15T front sproket, must of liked top speed, anyway I'm putting the stock back on and it seems that the shifters linkage is in the way, do I have to take it off? Is there another way to get the sprocket cover off? thanks in advance,

Patrick

Patrick,
No you dont have to take anything off

I just replaced my cover will billet. It was kind of tight, but I got it off. You may need to hold the shifter down or up to assist.

I will be going to a 12t soon. I like the tight stuff.

Remove the screws that hold the left foot peg and move it out of the way, when finished just reminber to torque everything.

I dropped one in the front and raised two in the rear for a 12/42 combo. Mostly for sand trails and dunes though.

What size is that nut? I can't get a sprocket or wrench that fits, its either to big or to small. What do I do after I take the sprocket off? Ive heard there was a cotterpin somewhere but I don't see any, any help appreciated,

Patrick
