Default Banshee fouls plugs only in left cylinder.

I have a 2000 banshee and it keeps fouling plugs in the left cylinder (kick starter side)? It seems to me that the left cylinder is running rich. becasue the left pipe only smokes. The other cylinder the plug is golden brown. I checked for any signs of leaks. Any suggestions?

Are the carbs adjusted correctly?
How do the reeds look?

I'm new to the banshee. How should the reeds look? What do you think about compression. Could i be losing compression in one cylinder causing it to run rich? Any idea what type of spark plugs i should be running?

I will have to try that. Is that i pretty touchy process, or is it easy to tell if your carbs aren't synchronized? Just follow the steps in the serverice manual? any other suggestions.

I'd guess your problem is fuel related, however a compression test will only take a few minutes and allow you to be sure of the mechanical shape of your upper end, I'd do a leak down test as well

Man you guys are starting to sound like me.... I bet the problem is the right side pilot jet or the tube linking the two carbs together. Does it idle funny or have problems revving up? How much fuel do you have in the tank? Does it do this only when your starting it up for the first time each day? Check your floats on both carbs... blaa blaa blaa that should give you enough to do for a few hours and it will probably run right after you check what everyone has said as well as these things listed above.

well i found out a few things last night. First of all the intake going into my Right (kick start side) carb was pinched creating a leak. My air fuel screw was at 1 turn out instead of 2 and the carbs are out of sync. the left carb opens way before the right! I put in new plugs gapped them accordingly, and it ran better than it ever did. Ran for a 10 minutes and checked the plugs. both seem to be colored the same (light brown). I think i fixed the problem, but when the shee is warmed up the right side pipe smokes a litte. What can cause this? Is this a concern? I still want to open the carbs up clean them out and check the float height and re-jet for my altitude 7,000 ft. Everyone on this forum has been very helpful. As a new Banshee owner i want to make sure everything is working properly.
