Horrible Sounding Brakes
#2
A brake squeel is a high frequency vibration between the pad and the rotor. Find a perfectly flat surface ( I use a piece of glass ) lay some 800 grit sand paper on it and sand the pads until they are true with no sunken spots or ridges. This will make them quiet for awhile. If the surfaces on the rotor are not exactly parallel then they will start to wear uneven again. Also make sure that the caliper is clean and all the slide points are lubed with a silicone based lube. Dont use petrolium based lubes, the rubber parts will swell up and maybe seize the caliper slides. Thats why they say don't put vasoline on your condom
