pretty cool.... looks like a fun ride, nice views of the hills too. [ being a flat-lander, i'm easily impressed] haha

i have made a couple vids with a regular sony cybershot camera mounted on my helmet. just a regular 75$ still picture digital camera but abviously used in video mode. i have a few vids but there all done with the same 75$ camera [ even the winter vids] . abviously not professional quality but it's fun to see yourself. YouTube - cr500

if you click others by me.. you'll see some vids from the winter. the battery seemed to hold up fine and for how much i have into it... it's hard to beat. imo

I'll check those out from my home computer...the one at my shop isnt all that quick and videos become a sort of moving still picture..

Nice to see you on the trail this season. Looks similar to the place I saw in past videos. Now I feel charged up to get video of our outings. Will try before season ends.

I'm thinking about making a bracket to mount on the quad rather than on the helmet. Anyone else try different mounting positions or advice?

I think my atv's would vibrate too much to directly mount the camcorder to it. And my camcorder has a good anti shake processing also. I am yet to see a camera/camcorder attached to the atv in a video so I'm guessing others have discovered the same! Other then looking a bit funny I could not even tell the camcorder was there while riding!

Guess I'll just have to give it a try and see how it goes. I know my camcorder does not have a very wide angle lens so the video might have a bit of tunnel vision look. Personally, I like having a wide angle since it covers more area and gives the feel of more speed and the ground close in is more visible adding to the "I'm there" factor.
