Default Panther 110 wont cut off

Hello,

My childs panther 110 will not cut off by the switch. I can turn both switches off and it still runs. We have to lift the choke to get it to cut off. Has anyone ever had this problem?

Thanks

Check for a loose or disconnected plug in the wiring. To kill the ignition, the switch grounds a wire, so if the wire is disconnected, it will keep running.

Yes, completely correct for a five pin CDI and if the kill switch wiring is generic standard (very likely).

Is this your CDI?

Is there a wire there on the kill switch pin, and is it a good connection?

Note that when the engine is running (or cranking even) there is high voltage on this pin coming out of the CDI. Don't be casually grabbing wires near the CDI when the engine is turning. It can be several hundred volts!

Thanks for all the replies. I finally found a broke wire and was able to solder it in place. Thanks again for the help, this site is great.
