Default Coolster 3125 ATV - Gear Spring & Shaft

The question(s):
What order does the spring and shaft go back in the motor? Also, the shaft has a rubber stop on one end and its depressed on the other end. I don't know what side I should place against the spring.

The Story
So far I've had good luck with this quad. Starts the first time every time so far. My son broke in the quad and I was getting it ready to change the oil. I unscrewed the wrong bolt (which i thought was the oil drain plug) and the gear spring and shaft shot out. I didn't know what order they were in since they shot into the sand. (wonderful)

Thanks,
Matt

looks like the rubber end goes in first. It has the vertical mark from the gear mechanism that I can see inside the motor. The spring is tapered so it makes sense that it would go against the depressed part of the shaft to keep it all aligned.
