2011 Polaris sportsman 400 axle problem
I was replacing the bushings and bearings in the left rear end on my sportsman. When I went to put it back together, I was putting the hub back on and the shaft seems to have come out of the inner cup. Anyway I can get It to go back in? I really hope it doesn't involve me ripping the boot and having to pay a lot. I am going on a ride in a month, need it fixed fast. Thanks

Easier to just pull the clamps, slide the boot back and align the shaft splines up with the cv joint. Give it a good whack to seat it back. Check that the circlip on the shaft is ok,isn't deformed. If it is get a new one.Dirt Cheap Yamaha, Polaris, Suzuki & Kawasaki OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse

If the cv cage and inner part isn't damaged you can install the bearings back in. Just rotate the cage to allow one bearing in then roatate the opposite to get the other side. Then just work around until all bearings are back in. If it's beyond what you can handle or if it's damaged, cheaper just to replace the whole thing. Look at these two videos. First one shows taking the bearings out. Just reverse the steps on what he's doing.
Plus here's another one.
Again if it's too much, actually cheaper to buy the complete rear drive shaft assembly rather than a separate cv joint.Polaris 400 Sportsman HO Rear Right CV Axle XT 2011 4x4 A11MH46AX AZ ATV ZR | eBay

the inner joint is quite different than the outers in the videos. There is a big circlip that holds the whole assembly in, the cage and ***** and all. I am going to take the cup out of the diff by using a 3/8 inch extension and hammering on It from the other side. Thanks for the help though. Kept me from spending 100 and only needing to spend 10
