Polaris 90cc
There are a few issues I'm trying to address maybe I can get some help here. First I have no idea what year this wheeler is we picked up, the sticker that usually says is trashed, I do know it's 90cc Polaris it's has a kick start and it does not have reverse. Also having issues with electrical? It has electric start we put a new battery in, but it wouldn't start it made a weird noise maybe solenoid? Also where is this fuse I keep reading that these fuse on these things blow all time but I don't know where it's located thanks for any help

Starter relay and fuse holder is under the seat.Simple meter/test light check on the starter lead can tell if the starter is getting power or not. If it isn't probably the relay just clicking. If starter is getting power, possibly a bad starter or even a dirty idle/starter gear behind the kick start cover. #11,12 are the fuse holder and relay(basically same for all 2001-2006 model 50s and 90s 2 strokes). old polaris tech
I replaced the spark plug and put a new fuse in, it did fire up, but somewhere there must be an electrical issue cause the electric start only has power sometimes and I got it to fire once with electric start, but every other time it made this god awful screeching noise. do I need a new starter? I still haven't been able to find a vin to tell what year it is to order parts. also I need a new kickstart it does spring back up like its supposed to but having issues finding one on ebay

Kick starter sticking is a common problem from all the belt dust. Pull the cover, leave the kick start on and clean up the ratchet gear, spring and spray a little penetrant on it. Plus behind the cover is the starter idle gear and this area is bad on dust buildup also, hard on starters.Could be worn teeth on the soft idle gear or just need to be cleaned up.All this area may need to be cleaned up.Starter clutch is generally pretty tough.
