Flywheel Magnets 99 Xplorer 400
I have a 99 Xplorer 400. I had to replace the stator. When I pulled the flywheel, two of the magnets were loose on the flywheel. I glued the magnets back on the flywheel. When I tried to start the quad it pops but it won't start. It backfired a few times as well. My question is....is it possible I glued the magnets on upside down? 180 degrees off? Does it matter which they are positioned? Any Ideas?

Replace the flywheel or take a chance on the new stator being destroyed. The replacement flywheels have the magnets sealed or you can take a chance on a used one on E bay that could do the same thing.Dirt Cheap Yamaha, Honda, Arctic Cat & Polaris OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse
